Journeyman Bindery Operator

Job Description: Now hiring for a position of operating all bindery equipment which includes stitcher-trimmer, paper cutters, folding machines, perfect binder, paper punch, material handling equipment, and various other binding machines.  Position requires repetitive lifting of materials/items ranging from 20 to 50 pounds.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Set up and run various bindery equipment/machines
• Continually monitor & control the quality of product through production run
• Routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting & minor repairs
• Prepare & wrap materials for delivery
• Maintain a neat & clean work area
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality on all matters

Qualifications:

• Be in good physical condition to lift 20 to 50 pounds repetitively with ability to stand, stoop, kneel & bend
• Strong attention to detail & ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent work attendance and punctuality
• Ability to learn & operate a forklift
• 4 year’s trade experience
• Ability to understand written & verbal instructions

Hours:    7:00am to 4:00pm

Wages:   $18-$22 per hour depending on experience with an opportunity for advancement

Bindery Worker
